Background

Lying some where between the rolling Monmouthshire countryside and the wild dramatic lofty peaks of the Brecon Beacons National Park is my workshop….. a tiny stables on an old dairy farm.
I look to my surroundings and the rich literary history of Welsh myth and folklore for the inspiration in creating textile taxidermy sculptures aptly named Fauxidermy.

  3. What an amazing talent/idea you have Helly, thank you for our amazing stag (which is now called McLeod) we bought yesterday from you at the Royal Welsh Show and is proudly in our entrance hallway. He is lovely and I very much look forward to expanding the collection when I can.

  4. Hi Helly,

I have just discovered your work in ‘Wyld Home’ in Shrewsbury.
I am besotted with your hare family – they are so beautiful.
The expressions you have captured are simply stunning, and the colour and fabric combinations you use just elevate them to another level.

Further to Gilly’s comment, if you ever decide to run a workshop i would love to take part.
Keep up the good work and i can’t wait to come and see more of your creations.

    • Hi Jennie
Thankyou šŸ™‚ Thats really kind and they look great in Wyld Home don’t they.
If i ever do workshops i will certainly let you know. I just need to simplify the process as because they are so intricate its difficult to teach someone how to make them but will at some point offer workshops.

if you want to keep up to date with my work feel free to follow my blog and twitter etc.

      Best wishes Helly
